Short: TapeWorm-FS Patch from V1.0 to V1.2 Uploader: djmccoy netcom com Type: driver/other Architecture: m68k-amigaos TapeWorm-FS from MoonLighter Software Development allows those with tape drives to utilize their drives as if they were a normal WORM type drive. This is a software patch that will update your backup copy of TapeWorm-FS up to version 1.2. Below are the changes. ------------------------------- Changes from Version 1.0 to 1.2 ------------------------------- Fixed a problem that occured when rebuilding the directory of a tape that uses the 'Keep .info files with directory' option. The rebuild was not setting the size of some files in the rebuilt directory properly. Changed the filesystem so that it doesn't use the WRITE_FILEMARKS SCSI command with a zero argument. Some drives (most notabably some A3070's) don't adhere to the SCSI standard with with regards to this command resulting in TapeWorm-FS not working. Changed the way that eject is called. Some HP DAT drives were not properly ejecting the tape. Changed the filesystem so that it makes sure that everything is flushed to the directory file of the tape currently in the drive every 4 seconds. Before some things weren't being flushed until the tape was ejected. This could cause problems when copying files to a tape and then rebooting without ejecting the tape. (This was fixed in version 1.1) The filesystem was freeing some memory it shouldn't have if there was an error while starting up.
